Carnival is coming to classrooms across Dumfries & Galloway. No costumes required — just bring the kids and we’ll bring the spectacle.
This January, Dumfries & Galloway Carnival is coming to schools across the region. Our Carnival artists will work with children to get creative, explore this year’s theme LEGENDS, and help your school become part of Carnival 2027.

From mythical heroes to local legends — your pupils explore the power of storytelling through carnival performance, costume, music and movement.

Every year group welcome. Suitable for all abilities.

A four-week window across the region. Book early — sessions go fast.

Only 36 Sessions Available
Schools choose and book their own appointment on a first come, first served basis. Once a session is booked, it’s gone. Sessions run throughout January — right up to the 29th.

Design a Carnival Costume!
Taking part is easy
Simply download and print the blank costume drawing, ask your pupils to create their designs, and write the school/nursery name and pupil’s name at the top of each entry.
You can enter just one design or get the whole class involved.
No forms to fill in and no uploading required.
We’ll arrange to collect completed entries directly from participating schools and nurseries at an agreed date and time.
